Congratulations to QUUmmunity for achieving the Welcoming Congregation renewal from the UUA! The work continues.

LGBTQIA2S+ affinity group - All Souls is looking for members who would be interested in belonging to an affinity group to be established for only queer community members. No allies. If you have an interest, please contact Dale Young.

For the privacy and safety of its members, please contact Dale for meeting times and locations for the QUUmunity group.

Upcoming Events

9/25 Indivisible Monthly meeting. First United Methodist Church, 5pm. The chapter meeting will be followed by pizza and a meet and greet with School Board Candidates. You do not need to be an Indivisible member to attend.

9/27 Ellafest, A Musical Fundraiser. This fundraiser supports the Ella Mae Bransom Sickle Cell Association 50th Birthday. Alta Apartments, 4th fl Conference Center, 2886 South Circle Dr. from 3pm to 6pm. Tickets are required. Purchase them here.

9/27 Citizen's Project postcard writing to Get Out The Vote, 12pm to 3pm, Stompin Groundz, 2050 Jet Wing Dr. Registration requested here.

9/28 Rev AJ Blackwood of the Mountain Top UU Church will be presenting a reflection for the All Souls Sunday service. This year we will be launching some community building opportunities programmed by The Mountain Top, a UU BIPoC Community.The majority of the classes will be on zoom. More information will be coming.

October is Banned Book Month

10/1 - D49 School Board Candidate Forum from 6pm to 7pm at Creekside Success Center, 3850 Pony Tracks Dr.

10/2, 7:00 PM - "Beliefs, Power, & Practice: How Language Ideologies Impact Native American Reclamation Efforts" with Rebecca Wood at the Heller Center. This is part of the UCCS Salon series. The event is free and open to the public. Optional reading and directions are available on their website.

10/3 - SOS Save Our Services Rally, Social Security office, 2306 E Pikes Peak, 3pm to 5pm rally to support our SSA benefits,Medicare, and our federal employees.

10/4 - Beyond the Ban- Trans Voices in the Military, 2pm to 5pm at Library 21C. Screening of the documentary film 'Transmilitary" and trans service members speaking. No registration required. 

10/4 - Melanie DeMore is appearing at the Centennial Theater-Pikes Peak State College 6:30pm to 8pm, 5675 South Academy Blvd. Tickets required, purchase here.

10/5 - Two Services at All Souls. We begin two services at All Souls. 9am and 11am with coffee hour in between. 

10/8 - School District D11 Strike due to the school board ending of the 56-year-old work agreement with the union. Join activities to support our teachers and the Colorado Springs Education Association:

  • 7:30 am picket outside of Dll schools
  • 2:30pm rally at Acacia Park

10/10 - Ballots for the School Board Elections will be mailed. Check your voter registration, make a correction, or register to vote at the Secretary of State website.

  • See the Social Justice Table for Indivisible vetted candidates.

Ballot measures LL and MM require your vote. Both ballot measures are about feeding kids in the region at school.

  • Proposition LL extends the funding for public school students Free Meals for All through the 2025-2026 school year. 
  • Proposition MM provides funding for Free Meals for All students for upcoming years plus other benefits to the schools. Any excess funds will go into the SNAP program. Funding is secured by limiting state income tax deductions for households earning over $300,000 per year.

10/13 - Indigenous Peoples Day - All Souls is hosting a potluck from 5:15pm to 6:15pm (byo dishes, utensils) and a Rhythm Circle 6:30pm to 8pm. Giveaway blanket items are welcome.

10/18 - The All Souls Auctoberfest Auction live auction event starts at 5:30pm at the church. Eat, drink, bring the kids. Check out the auction website All Souls 2025 Auction .

  • See the auction table on Sunday if you have donations, would like to volunteer, or have questions.

10/18 - No Kings Rally from 12pm-3pm at America the Beautiful Park. Note location! Indivisible Colorado has announced that the location in Mobilize was incorrect on publication. America the Beautiful Park is the correct location. All Souls will be tabling at this event so please feel free to help at our table.

10/18 - Auction - Our annual in-person auction begins at All Souls at 5:30pm where you will have food and drink in addition to lots of fun. Dress is 'come as you are.'

10/25 - QUUmmunity meeting at All Souls 10am-12pm. All are welcome. 

Other things

If you have a few minutes... take the privilege quiz. Open the link below to the Challenges site and scroll down to the August Challenge:Privilege Perspective. Follow the instructions, watch the videos, then take the quiz. Hopefully, you will find it enlightening.

November - If you have not responded yet, Social Justice is having a Decolonizing Thanksgiving Potluck at a member's home on Sat 11/22, starting about 4pm. Please let us know by return email if you would like to join us. Bring food to share, soft drinks will be provided. Children, partners, besties etc. are welcome.
