The Leadership Development Committee is an elected team comprised of three voting members. This Committee meets when developing a slate to be elected at the annual congregational business meeting. We also meet when an elected position becomes vacant during the year, to suggest candidates for the Board to appoint to the vacant position. For approximately the first half of the fiscal year, July through December, Leadership Development Committee members acquaint themselves with members of the congregation who might be suitable nominees for positions on the Board and elected Teams. From January through April we develop a slate of candidates for positions to be filled at the annual congregational business meeting. In May we give this slate to the Church Administrator, who includes it in the packet of information distributed before the annual meeting. As the Team has only three members, we agree to meet as needed and often do business by email. Members of the congregation who would like to be nominated to the Board or an elected Team should contact the Leadership Development Committee to indicate their interest. Otherwise, the Leadership Development Committee recruits from members we deem suitable to nominate for open, elected positions.
