Hike starts at: 8:00am Please arrive by: 7:50am

Meeting Place/Trailhead: TBD; Starsmore Visitor and Nature Center: either the compass patio in front or the veranda behind the building (This will depend on other activities at the Center that day.) I will notify people of the final decision on meeting place as we get closer to the date.

Hike Distance: 2-3 miles, depending on where the wildflowers are

Elevation Gain: 300-400 ft.

Hiking Moving Time: 2-3 hours

Driving Directions: From I-25: Exit 140 Tejon St. Turn south. At the traffic circle, take the 1st exit onto Cheyenne Blvd. Continue for 2.5 miles to stop sign at the entrance of the canyon. Turn left onto SOUTH Cheyenne Cañon Rd. The parking lot is on the left. Arriving a little early will ensure a parking space. If you can’t find one, go back out and turn right onto Evans Ave. where you will find another parking lot.

Restrooms: Yes, they open at 8am

Pets: No (they are allowed in park, but they will not like the slow pace for botanizing)

We stay together as a group and leave no hiker behind.
