 ountain is one of the limestone buttes just east of Rampart\nRange and nor
 th of Palmer Lake. We will follow the forested trail as it makes its way u
 p the side\nof the butte. At the top\, the trail makes a loop\, providing 
 a wonderful view of Pikes Peak\,\nRampart Range\,Greenland Open Space and 
 the valley below. If we are lucky there should be a\nfew wildflowers just 
 emerging.\nHIKER PREPARATION/EQUIPMENT: Bring plenty of freshwater and a s
 nack if you wish.\nDRIVING DIRECTIONS TO TRAILHEAD: From I 25 and E. Woodm
 an Rd.\, drive north on\nHighway 25 for 14 miles. Take the exit toward S. 
 County line Rd./Palmer Divide road. Turn left\nonto South County line/Palm
 er Divide Road and continue driving for 2.6 miles. Turn right just\nafter 
 the railroad tracks onto Spruce Mountain Road and drive 3.5 miles. Turn le
 ft and drive 300\nfeet to Spruce Mountain Trail parking lot.\nRESTROOM: po
 rtable restroom\nPETS: Yes\, on leash. Be sure to pick up after your dog.
